Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Dispatcher to coordinate transportation and logistics operations within our supply chain. The ideal candidate will manage freight movements, communicate effectively with drivers and clients, and utilize various transportation management systems to ensure timely delivery of goods. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong analysis skills and experience in shipping & receiving to contribute to our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule freight shipments using transportation management systems such as DAT and Loadlink.
- Manage shipping & receiving processes, ensuring accurate data entry and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems, maintaining professional phone etiquette.
- Monitor supply chain activities, including 3PL operations, to optimize freight movement and reduce delays.
- Analyze shipment data to identify inefficiencies or issues and implement solutions promptly.
- Oversee freight logistics, including scheduling pickups and deliveries, tracking shipments, and resolving any discrepancies or delays.
- Maintain organized records of shipping schedules, freight documentation, and related data for reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff on shipping & receiving activities to ensure smooth operations.
Skills
- Proficiency with transportation management systems such as DAT, Loadlink, and other supply chain software.
- Strong understanding of freight logistics, shipping & receiving processes, and supply chain management.
- Excellent data entry skills with high typing speed for accurate record keeping.
- Analytical skills to interpret shipment data and optimize logistics operations.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with drivers, clients, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems.
- Professional phone etiquette for handling inquiries and coordinating dispatch activities efficiently.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with 3PL operations is a plus. This position is integral to maintaining efficient transportation workflows within our organization, ensuring customer satisfaction through timely deliveries while supporting overall supply chain effectiveness.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
