Job Overview
The Forklift Operator is responsible for picking & shipping orders, receiving and recording the movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment and stock to and from our warehouse facilities operating Crown Counterbalance, High Reach and Dock Stocker.
- Monday - Friday 11pm - 7am
Responsibilities
- Must have experience operating Crown Dock Stocker and Crown High Reach forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Perform order picking tasks, ensuring accuracy in selecting items for shipment.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Utilize a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory levels and manage stock locations.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and support overall warehouse operations.
- Keep work environment clean
- Ability to work in -18 temperatures
- Potential for permanent hire with the company
Qualifications
- Proven 3 years of experience operating forklifts, with certification preferred.
- Experience specifically on the Dock Stocker and High Reach
- Familiarity with order picking processes and warehouse distribution practices.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) as required by the role.
- Basic math skills for accurate inventory management and order processing.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
