Position Title: Reservation Agent
Location: 75White Point #2, Hunts Point, Nova Scotia, Canada

Position Overview:
Day to day reservations function of the front office. Responding to incoming calls, creating and maintaining reservation data, preparing confirmations, Processing and monitoring advance deposits, managing room inventory to maximize sales opportunities and processing gift cards.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing new reservations
- Process cancellations and modifications
- Knowledge about rooms and cottages as well as locations and layouts
- Knowledge about all rates, packages and specials
- Send email confirmation letters
- Understands WP policies on guarantees, deposits and cancellations
- Processes deposits
- Prepares Gift Certificates and Gift Certificate Refusal letters
- Uses upsell opportunities
- Knowledgeable about Maestro
- Resolves guest complaints and regarding reservations and deposits, etc.
- Maintains and develops travel agent relationships
- Reviews outstanding call file

Working Conditions:
● Must be able to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
● Required to move, lift, carry, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
● Stand, sit or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift
● Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting and pulling
- Requires ability to work shifts and to work under pressure. Long periods of time spent standing. Visual accuracy important.
- This resort functions 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. All employees must realize that we schedule as hotel business dictates.
