Household & Family Assistant (Part-Time & Full-Time Opportunity)
We are a busy, active family seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and like-minded individual to help support the day-to-day flow of our household. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, staying organized, and being part of a dynamic family environment.
About the Role
This position is a blend of household management and family support. The ideal candidate will help with the personal care of a quadriplegic (training provided) and create a smooth, organized, and positive routine for both parents and children. $25 - $29/hr. This is not a PSW/Respite position, nor is it just a babysitting role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with morning routines, including personal care and helping the children get ready for school and activities
- Support evening routines, including preparing for bedtime
- Help manage household tasks such as laundry, light meal prep, baking, and general organization
- Accompany the family to children’s activities, including sports practices and games
- Join in on outings such as parks, beaches, and local excursions
- Accompany on occasional short trips (e.g., Cottage/Wonderland)
- Travel South with the family twice per year
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum age 21 yrs (due to insurance requirements)
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Clean criminal record check
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience managing a household
- General life skills
- Positive, flexible, and proactive attitude
