Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Commercial Lawyer to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will provide expert legal advice and support on commercial transactions, contracts, and business negotiations. The Commercial Lawyer will play a vital role in ensuring our company's legal compliance and protecting its interests in various commercial dealings.
Duties
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including sales agreements, licensing agreements, and partnership contracts.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as LexisNexis to stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting the business.
- Provide legal advice to management on contractual obligations, risk management, and compliance issues.
- Assist in structuring complex commercial transactions to optimize legal protections and business outcomes.
- Support the negotiation process with clients, vendors, and partners to achieve favorable terms while maintaining professional relationships.
- Prepare clear and precise legal documentation, including memoranda, reports, and correspondence.
- Stay informed about changes in legislation that could impact the company's operations or contractual commitments.
Qualifications
- Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Over 3 years experience in commercial law or corporate legal practice.
- Strong research skills with proficiency in LexisNexis or similar legal research platforms.
- Excellent negotiation abilities with a track record of successful deal-making.
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting contracts, legal memos, and correspondence.
- Solid understanding of legal drafting principles and contract law fundamentals.
- Ability to analyze complex legal issues critically and communicate findings clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
