Hi,
Hope you and your family are doing fine. Please let us know when (days and times) you are available in general for caregiver shifts, and whether you have a car (or a license), so we can update our list, and consider you for the positions below and future opportunities as they arise.
Please let us know if you (or someone you know) can please help...
CLIENT B:
We have a nice lady client with a bit of dementia, who has a caregiver on Monday to Saturday afternoons, and her daughter would like additional help, generally on Mondays to Fridays from 10am to 1pm or 2pm (sometimes 9-5pm or even 5-9pm). She lives in an apartment at 1439 East 2nd Ave., Vancouver, BC V5N 1C6 (near the Broadway and Commercial Skytrain). There is lots of free parking on their street.
Caregiver Roles:
1. Offer companionship and make a connection. The client likes to do puzzles, word searches, play scrabble, and read the newspaper.
2. Meal preparation: make lunch, and, at the end of the shift, leave a snack with her and setup the TV for her.
3. Personal care: prompt her to brush teeth, and other simple tasks.
4. Light housekeeping as needed (dishes, vacuuming, dusting, laundry, etc.).
5. No need for medication reminders.
*This is an ongoing shift to start ASAP (next week), with a paid 2-hour orientation with the existing caregiver, and will generally be Monday to Friday from 10am to 1pm or 2pm, which should be at least 18 hours per week.*
If you haven’t done so already, please email your resume to [email protected], tell us your availability (days and times), whether you have a car (or a license), and write Resume in the subject line, and/or call Vancouver Home Care at 604-674-8100, text to 604-417-3809, or fax to 604-674-8050.
