Welcome to Blüm: an award winning modern licensed childcare facility in Calgary's innercity, that is now looking for an enthusiastic member of our Operations Team to join our Tuxedo Park Campus. The role of Blüm's Chef is pivotal in providing nutritious fresh meals to the registered students at Blüm Childcare Academy, along with a sparkling clean and sanitized environment.
Chef duties will include menu design and review, managing inventory, budget and ordering of groceries, preparing fresh and warm meals like soups, noodles, smoothies, and pasta, and serving to all classrooms in appropriate dish and servingware. This includes collecting all tableware and washing / sanitizing it using a commercial dishwasher. Blüm has a very high standard for cleanliness and organization and the kitchen must be clean, sanitized and sterilized at all times.
Additionally, Facility Maintenance duties include working with our Support team to ensure a clean and sanitary facility including but not limited to, washroom sanitization, garbage disposal, disinfection of high touch surfaces, sorting and depositing garbages, and assisting with laundering as needed.

Core Qualifications:
- Experience with meal preparation
- Able to obtain Police clearance with vulnerable sector check
- Able to obtain First Aid + CPR training (up to date)
- Able to obtain Food Handling Certification
- Willing to obtain Level 1 Early Childhood Certificate
