Job Summary
Hello, I am seeking a skilled Journeyman or 3rd or 4th year apprentice Electrician to join my company. I am located in Maple Ridge so the ideal candidate will live local as a lot of my work is closer by but can still extend to Vancouver. This role requires independence and good work ethic. You must have understanding of electrical codes, schematics, and blueprint reading. You will play a vital role in completing residential and commercial projects and have a great opportunity to expand your knowledge in the electrical industry.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints to accurately install electrical systems.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in construction environments.
- Be able to do service work in customers homes with a good attitude and cleanliness.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely to perform installations.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople such as plumbers or carpenters during construction or renovation projects.
- Ensure all work complies with local electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
Requirements
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification.
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or construction settings.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
- Ability to interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals accurately.
- Hands-on experience with renovation projects involving electrical upgrades or rewiring.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
- Physical ability to work in various environments, including heights or confined spaces if required.
