Job Overview: We are seeking a reliable and skilled Carpenter to join our team. They will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance, repair, and installation tasks across residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, possess strong problem-solving abilities, and have a broad range of technical skills.
Key Responsibilities includes, but are not limited too:
- Perform carpentry work including framing, drywall installation, finishing, trim work, door installation, and general repairs.
- Construct, install, modify, and repair walls, ceilings, flooring, shelving, and other building components.
- Assist with renovation and remodeling projects from start to finish.
- Perform selective demolition of walls, ceilings, flooring, cabinetry, and fixtures as required.
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking equipment.
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work orders.
- Complete general maintenance and repair tasks on residential and commercial properties.
- Install and repair doors, hardware, millwork, and other finish carpentry elements.
- Assist with site preparation, material handling, and project cleanup.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations, building codes, and company standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in good working condition.
- Support various property improvement and ad-hoc construction projects as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Carpenter or in a similar construction role.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, building materials, and construction practices.
- Experience with renovations, remodeling, and demolition work.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically capable of performing demanding construction tasks, including lifting heavy materials.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Experience with drywall finishing, painting, flooring installation, or other trades is considered an asset.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position with occasional overtime as required.
- Work performed indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Frequent lifting, carrying, kneeling, climbing, and working at heights.
- Exposure to dust, noise, and active construction environments.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
