Reporting to the Chief Legal, Human Resources and Administrative Officer, the Manager, Legal and Compliance Affairs, will provide support across a broad range of legal, compliance, and governance matters managed by the group of the Chief Legal, Human Resources and Administrative Officer. This is a hands-on role for a professional who is comfortable working independently on complex files while also contributing as part of a small, high-performing corporate team. Depending on the successful candidate's background and interests, the role will likely include responsibilities in insurance, risk management, and ESG matters.

Main responsibilities:

Support the legal and compliance functions on a wide range of corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters

Contribute to risk management initiatives, including liaising with insurance brokers and carriers on coverage and claims

Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of compliance programs and policies

Support the company's ESG reporting, disclosure, and governance initiatives

Assist with corporate governance matters

Collaborate with business units and other corporate functions across the organization
Requirements:

Minimum 10 years of experience in a legal or compliance department, or similar role, within a large multinational organization

Strong knowledge of corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters

Experience as a paralegal considered an asset

Familiarity with insurance, risk management, and/or ESG matters considered an asset

Excellent analytical, and communication skills

Self-driven and goal-oriented, with the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities

Strong interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Bilingualism (English/French) considered an asset
