Our clinic is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Dental Assistant to join our growing team. We have an amazing dental team and wonderful patient population.
Responsibilities:
a) Establishes strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behavior;
b) Deliver optimal levels of continuity between patient and service provider;
c) Demonstrate active listening and empathy to patients using effective communication skills;
d) Clinical chairside assisting with all dental procedures;
e) Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments in accordance with the Ministry of Health and practice protocols;
f) Cleaning and preparing treatment rooms in accordance with the Ministry of Health and practice protocols;
g) Assist in updating and maintaining client dental records;
h) Provide post-operative care instructions;
i) Schedule patient next appointments;
j) Understanding and adhering to Radiographic Quality Assurance Controls, Infection Control, WHMIS and all other applicable laws and regulations to provide a safe environment for patients and staff;
k) Ensuring all clinical and storage areas are clean and organized;
l) Caring for dental equipment;
m) Lab cases (out-going and in-coming)
