Overview
We are seeking a skilled Production Welder to join our dynamic manufacturing team.
Qualifications
· Must have 1-2 years welding experience in a manufacturing environment. Specifically MIG.
· Aluminum MIG experience considered an asset.
· Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, drawing specifications, manuals and procedure sheets.
· Knowledge and experience with welding procedures, practices, and proficient in layout, tacking, welding, grinding, and finishing.
· Must possess basic math skills – addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and converting fractions to decimals.
· Experience with the use of measuring tools (tape measure, caliper, square) and power tools (grinder, drill).
· Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
· Strong English reading, writing, and comprehension skills.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment with changing priorities and repetitive tasks.
· Able to handle heavy loads (up to 50 lbs).
· Forklift experience considered an asset.
Responsibilities
· Perform weld and other duties as required. Assist other manufacturing departments if need arises.
· Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
· Follow company health and safety guidelines.
Position Details
· Full time, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 7.00 am to 3.30 pm.
· Occasional overtime and Saturdays as required.
· Starting Salary range of $19-$24 per hour depending on experience and/or ability.
· Company health benefits and bonus program after 3 months.
Welding proficiency test will be required to be performed by the candidate.
