BC Tree Fruits is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Manager to help lead maintenance activities and ongoing improvement of equipment in our fruit packing facility in Oliver, BC. This is an opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and leading by example. You'll play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, developing and executing preventative and predictive maintenance programs, and supporting production operations to help create a safe, positive, and productive work environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of plant equipment and facility systems.
- Maintain maintenance records and support the continuous improvement of maintenance planning systems.
- Support plant operations as needed and assist with equipment commissioning, start-up activities, and system upgrades.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to increase efficiency, reliability, and performance.
- Promote a strong safety culture while ensuring compliance with food safety, health and safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead by example, foster a positive team environment, and support cross-training initiatives across maintenance functions.
What We're Looking For
- Industrial maintenance leadership experience and/or an experienced licensed Industrial Millwright.
- Strong hands-on knowledge of industrial mechanical and electrical systems and the ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Experience working in a food/fruit packaging, manufacturing, or similar unionized industrial environment is preferred.
- A proactive problem-solver who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational setting.
