Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Decorate cakes and pastries with precision, creativity, and attention to detail to meet customer specifications.
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to maintain hygiene standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as measuring ingredients, mixing batters, and assembling baked items.
- Manage packaging of baked goods for retail display or takeout orders while maintaining presentation quality.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment sanitation and organization of tools and ingredients.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products and offering recommendations when needed.
Skills
- Proven experience in baking, with a strong background in cake decorating and food preparation.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling techniques.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of the food industry standards related to baking, packaging, and presentation.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Experience working in a restaurant or similar food service setting is preferred.
- Creative flair for decorating cakes and pastries that appeal visually as well as taste-wise.
