Make an impact with our Corporate Finance team as a Senior Associate, Capital Advisory. This diverse team of professionals helps clients assess, structure and execute financing solutions that support growth, refinancing, acquisitions, shareholder transitions, recapitalizations and complex capital needs. As a trusted advisor, you will support the delivery of innovative capital solutions and help clients navigate lender processes, capital structure decisions and evolving market conditions.

Responsibilities
- Propose, plan and execute capital advisory and debt advisory mandates, including refinancing, acquisition financing, growth capital, working capital facilities, equipment financing, real estate financing, subordinated debt, junior capital and other capital raise engagements
- Lead the assessment of client financing needs, capital structure alternatives, lender appetite, credit risks and potential funding options across banks, credit unions, private credit funds and other capital providers
- Develop project plans and coordinate engagement logistics with clients, lenders, internal service lines and other stakeholders to support timely execution.
- Prepare high-quality lender-facing materials, including confidential information memorandums, lender teasers, management presentations, engagement letters, proposals, reports and correspondence.
- Build and analyze financial models, cash flow forecasts, debt capacity analyses, covenant calculations and scenario sensitivities to support financing strategies and lender discussions.
- Conduct detailed analysis of financial statements, operating performance, working capital requirements, borrowing base capacity, EBITDA sustainability, asset values and key business risks.
- Lead lender outreach processes, including preparing data rooms, managing lender Q&A, tracking process updates and assisting with term sheet analysis and negotiation support.
- Identify key credit considerations, performance indicators and potential risks or opportunities that may impact financing outcomes.
- Develop strong relationships with clients, lenders and internal referral sources while identifying opportunities to deliver additional value to clients.
- Lead engagement teams, developing effective relationships with clients while coaching and mentoring junior team members
- Participate in business development initiatives and contribute to the preparation and delivery of competitive proposals
- Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary
Skills and Experience
- Master’s degree in a related field is considered an asset
- CPA or CFA designation
- 3 to 5 years of professional services, corporate finance, banking, lending, private credit, transaction advisory or related financial advisory experience
- Experience in debt advisory, capital raising, refinancing, credit analysis, lender processes or mergers and acquisitions is considered an asset
- Strong financial modelling, forecasting and analytical skills, with the ability to assess cash flow, leverage, working capital and debt service capacity
- Extensive experience preparing and analyzing financial statements, management reports, projections and supporting schedules
- Strong understanding of financing structures, credit considerations, collateral, covenants and lender due diligence requirements
- Strong technical accounting skills with knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear, concise and client-ready deliverables.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment

The annual salary range for this position is: $70,000 - $100,000
