Job Role: Senior Python/SQL Engineer
Location : Toronto, ON /Hybrid
Position Type : Contract Role
Duration : 6 months with possible extensions
Hybrid - Minimum 4 days in a week
Ideal Candidate Rate: CAD 90-95/Hr (Depending on the experience)
Must Have:

Strong hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and C# application development.

Hands-on experience migrating Oracle-based applications to Snowflake rather than simply developing in Snowflake.

Experience with Snowflake, including SQL development, connectivity, query optimization, and migration from legacy databases.

Support the migration of Power BI dashboards and reports from Oracle-based data sources to Snowflake.

Minimum 4 years of software development, database development, or data engineering experience.

Analyze and update C#, Julia, and Python applications that currently depend on Oracle tables, Oracle SQL, and Oracle stored procedures.

Experience with Julia is a plus

Experience with Oracle databases, including Oracle SQL, stored procedures, and database-driven applications.

Background in financial services, ideally supporting market risk, investment risk, or capital markets teams.

Experience with Power BI dashboard development, migration, or data source repointing.
