Ven-Tech Subsea Inspections is actively seeking an experienced and highly motivated DCBC Surface Supplied Diving Supervisor to join our growing commercial diving team based in the Vancouver Mainland area of British Columbia.
This position is ideal for a professional diving supervisor who is passionate about safety, leadership, operational excellence, and high-quality underwater work within British Columbia’s marine, municipal, industrial, hydroelectric, and infrastructure sectors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising day-to-day diving operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, overseeing site safety, managing dive crews, maintaining operational documentation, and delivering projects safely and efficiently in high-consequence marine and industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate commercial diving operations throughout British Columbia
- Ensure all dive operations comply with WorkSafeBC Part 24 regulations and CSA Z275 standards
- Conduct and lead daily toolbox meetings, FLHAs, JSAs, and safety briefings
- Prepare dive plans, emergency response plans, and project-specific safety documentation
- Maintain safe diving practices and enforce company HSE policies and procedures
- Supervise surface-supplied diving operations in marine, municipal, industrial, hydroelectric, and potable water environments
- Coordinate dive teams, vessels, equipment, logistics, and project execution
- Maintain accurate dive logs, decompression records, equipment inspections, and safety documentation
- Communicate professionally with clients, project managers, engineers, and site representatives
- Assist with project planning, mobilization, and operational execution
- Ensure all diving equipment is maintained, inspected, and compliant with applicable standards
- Promote a positive safety culture and professional working environment at all times
Requirements
- Current DCBC Unrestricted Surface Supply Commercial Diving Supervisor Certificate
- Hold a valid Fit-to-Dive medical certificate with no restrictions
- Valid Occupational First Aid, CPR, and Oxygen Provider certification from a recognized provider
- Dive Accident Management certification
- Strong understanding of WorkSafeBC Part 24 Diving Operations regulations
- Strong understanding of CSA Z275.2 and CSA Z275.4 diving standards
- Experience supervising commercial diving operations in British Columbia
- Strong knowledge of marine construction and underwater inspection operations
- Experience with contaminated water diving procedures considered an asset
- Experience with potable water diving operations considered an asset
- Experience working around hydroelectric facilities, pipelines, intakes, and outfalls considered an asset
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract
- Marine Emergency Duties (MED) certification considered an asset
- Vessel operation experience considered an asset
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in physically demanding outdoor environments year-round
- Ability to travel throughout British Columbia as required
Preferred Qualifications
- ROV operational experience
- Confined Space certification
- Fall Protection certification
- Occupational Health & Safety experience
- Experience with industrial shutdowns and emergency response operations
- Small vessel operational experience
- Experience working with municipal and industrial clients
