Swaby Trucking is a growing trucking company looking for a reliable and hardworking Shop Helper to assist with the daily operations of our maintenance shop and yard.
Responsibilities
- Assist mechanics with truck and trailer maintenance and repairs
- Clean and organize the shop, tools, and work areas
- Perform basic shop duties such as greasing equipment, checking fluid levels, and washing vehicles
- Pick up and deliver parts and supplies as required
- Assist with inventory and organization of parts
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
- Support yard operations when needed
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Experience working around trucks, equipment, or in a shop environment is an asset
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Valid driver's license required
- DZ license is an asset but not required
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Navan, ON K4B 1T8: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
