Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and ensuring that all food served meets our high standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
- Cook menu items with precision, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate
- Assist with food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure safety and sanitation compliance
- Support the kitchen team during busy hours by efficiently managing multiple tasks
- Ensure all food is stored correctly and rotated according to safety guidelines
- Adhere to restaurant policies regarding serving, food service, and meal preparation
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with food industry standards for safety, handling, and sanitation is advantageous
- Experience with cooking techniques, meal preparation, and kitchen operations is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a commercial kitchen setting
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to follow directions accurately
