About the Role
As the Sales Development Manager (BDR Lead), you will be responsible for leading, coaching, and expanding the Business Development team while remaining hands-on in generating new business opportunities. You will work closely with the Director of Sales and collaborate across Marketing, Operations, and other internal teams to build a strong sales pipeline and support company growth.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both leadership and execution and wants to build a scalable outbound sales organization from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop the Business Development Representative team.
- Build and implement outbound sales processes, strategies, and best practices.
- Establish KPIs and performance metrics to drive team success.
- Recruit, onboard, and support the growth of the BDR team.
- Ensure a consistent and healthy sales pipeline through outbound prospecting activities.
- Coach team members on prospecting techniques, messaging, and sales execution.
- Monitor team performance, provide feedback, and support professional development.
- Collaborate with the Director of Sales to execute revenue growth strategies.
- Partner with Marketing to align campaigns, messaging, and lead generation efforts.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth communication and customer handoff.
- Track pipeline activity, meetings booked, and sales development performance.
- Provide reporting and insights to leadership on team performance and pipeline growth.
- Maintain a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative sales culture.
Job Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience in Business Development, Sales Development, or Sales Leadership.
- Previous experience managing or mentoring BDR/SDR teams.
- Proven success building pipeline and achieving sales development targets.
- Experience creating outbound sales processes and improving team performance.
- Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling SaaS, AI, or technology solutions.
- Experience within construction software, construction technology, or related industries.
- Experience building sales teams within a startup or high-growth environment.
- Strong understanding of outbound sales strategies and pipeline generation.

Pay: $85,000.00-$96,000.00 per year
