We are currently recruiting for a couple of Personal Support Workers ,for 24 hour shifts or as a Live In, to assist a male employer who is quadriplegic and needs assistance in all activities of daily living.
Location:
- Charlie Lake (near Altec Inspection)
Shifts & Hours of Work:
- 24 hour shifts or Live In option (with small private bedroom)
- Shifts needed in the 24 hour time period are: 4 hour morning routine (6am start is preferred), 2 hour afternoon shifts on Monday and Thursday and 3 hours for evening/bedtime routine
Compensation:
Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):
- Assist with full personal care including bathing, dressing and toileting
- Transfer assistance with board or manual floor lift
- Meal preparation and medication assistance
- Assistance with daily ROM stretches
- Assistance with repositioning (turning onto back or side)
- Cleaning equipment and light housekeeping
- Assist with hobby-related tasks (binding homemade calendars)
Required Qualifications:
- Driver’s License (Class 4 or 5) and personal vehicle is required
- willing to do a Criminal Record Check
- comfortable working in an environment with a medium sized dog
- Willingness to be trained
- Physically fit and able to assist with lifting and moving approximately 160lbs
