Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Office Assistant / Phlebotomist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional front desk support, manage patient records, perform phlebotomy and injection administration, and ensure smooth daily operations within a busy medical office environment. Duties
- Greet patients and visitors professionally at the front desk, ensuring a welcoming environment
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and coordinate patient communication
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records using systems such as OSCAR and Accuro
- Verify patient insurance information and process billing or payments as needed
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including updating patient information and collecting necessary documentation
- Prepare exam rooms and assist providers with clinical and administrative tasks during patient visits
- Perform phlebotomy/blood collection procedures safely and accurately
- Administer injections/vaccinations as directed and within scope of practice
- Handle correspondence, appointment reminders, and follow-up communications
- Ensure compliance with healthcare privacy regulations and office policies
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and managing office suppliesExperience
- Prior experience as a Dental Receptionist or Medical Office Assistant is preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as Epic or Dentrix is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation standards
- Office experience handling multi-line phone systems, scheduling, and administrative duties
- Previous experience working in a dental or medical office environment is advantageous
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Proven ability to provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
Experience / Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Medical Office Assistant, Phlebotomist, or Clinical Assistant is preferred
- Experience with phlebotomy and injection administration required/preferred
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems such as OSCAR or Accuro is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation standards
- Office experience handling multi-line phone systems, scheduling, and administrative duties
- Previous experience working in a medical office environment is advantageous

Pay: $17.20-$26.05 per hour
