Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism to meet the company's high standards.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport freight and packages to designated destinations
- Load and unload freight.
- Verify delivery orders and ensure accuracy of shipments before departure
- Maintain proper documentation of deliveries, including receipts and delivery logs
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic automotive repairs or report issues promptly
- Communicate effectively with manager.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation activities
- Assist with warehouse operations, including freight handling and inventory management as needed
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record suitable for commercial driving
- Experience with commercial vehicles preferred
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and delivery accuracy
- Ability to lift heavy loads and operate heavy equipment safely
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries
- Prior experience in logistics, freight transportation, or related fields is a plus
