SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROFESSIONAL
OAKRIDGE has an immediate opening for a Senior Environmental Professional.
This role will be responsible for working on remediation and reclamation projects in the oil and gas industry, producing professional reports, quality fieldwork, and general environmental consulting duties. This is a dynamic position requiring the applicant to be located (or ability to relocate) within the Peace Region.
Required:
- Degree or Diploma in an Environmental related field (i.e., Environmental Engineering, Geology, Biology, Environmental Science, Agrology, Forestry etc.) with 5-10 years progressive work experience.
- 5+ years experience in the Oil and Gas Sector, preferably in BC and/or Alberta.
- Registration or ability to register with the Professional Designation in their field.
- Ability to work independently on multi-disciplinary projects
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
- A high level of personal responsibility and ethics
- Ability to direct and supervise others respectfully and efficiently
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid Canadian Driver’s License
Responsibilities
- Manage projects and junior staff
- Ensure projects are completed in a timely and effective manner
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders and staff
- Train and mentor junior staff
- Develop business and marketing strategies to expand environmental services and relationships
- Coordinate and provide guidance for remediation and reclamation projects including CoR Part1/2 applications, Stage/Phase 1 & 2 PSI/ESAs, in-situ and ex-situ remediation projects, soil and groundwater monitoring and treatment, Reclamation and Remediation Applications, ROSC, SSLAs, Vegetation Management etc.
