The Kindergarten Camp Leader would provide age-appropriate programming for children aged 3-5 alongside our multi-age summer camp program. Primarily, they would be running 8 weeks of "Forest Kindergarten Camp" alongside an ECE. They would be responsible for providing a clean and safe environment in line with the Waldorf education model. They would lead activities such as baking, crafting, painting, storytelling, singing, and outdoor focused, open-ended play. The program is designed around the weekly and daily rhythms of a Waldorf kindergarten program we offer from September through June, however, there is a stronger focus on outdoor time, and for part of the day the children are combined with the mixed age group of the summer camp program. The Early Childhood Assistant is responsible for ensuring the needs of our youngest campers are not overlooked, as well as providing additional support for their participation in the mixed-age camp activities. The early childhood educator assists with snack preparations as well as the menu planning.
