Now Hiring: Scheduling Assistant/Dispatcher (Security Industry) part-time
Join us as a Scheduling Assistant/Dispatcher and be part of a dynamic team dedicated to ensuring smooth operations and exceptional service delivery.
Key Days Required:
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education preferred
- Two years experience in the security guard industry required
- Previous experience in a supervisory/lead role preferred
- Previous scheduling experience an asset
- Strong computer skills, including HRMS, Time Management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Leadership and organizational skills a plus
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines
- Outstanding customer service orientation
- Attention to detail and ability to handle pressure calmly
- Experience using Celayix Team Express is an asset
Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming calls, texts, and emails, following directives from the Operations Supervisor
- Coordinate shift coverage for missed check-ins or absences
- Dispatch guards promptly in response to ad hoc requests
- Efficiently schedule special coverage shifts and inform employees of their assignments
- Update employees and clients on schedule changes and guard ETA
- Maintain training plans and records in compliance with company standards
- Respond to service inquiries and escalate issues as needed
- Complete daily shift reports and assist with administrative tasks when required and other duties.

In accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code, Wincon Security recognizes that certain job requirements may constitute Bona Fide Occupational Requirements (BFORs). These requirements are established in good faith and are reasonably necessary for the safe and effective performance of the role.
Candidates must be able to meet the essential physical and cognitive demands of the Security Guard position, which may include:
- Maintaining alertness and vigilance throughout assigned shifts, including evenings, overnight, and extended hours
- Conducting interior and exterior patrols, which may involve prolonged standing, walking, stair use, and exposure to varying environmental conditions
- Responding appropriately to alarms, incidents, and emergency situations, which may require mobility and physical responsiveness
- Completing accurate written and electronic reports
- Communicating effectively and interacting professionally with clients, residents, and the public
- Following site-specific procedures and client-directed protocols, including access control and escalation processes
These requirements are reasonably necessary to meet operational and safety obligations, including those under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
