Summary
We are seeking a Disaster Restoration Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of Restoration Technicians, to ensure jobs are completed in a timely manner and to the highest standards, in a quickly changing work environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and delegate tasks for a team of technicians
- Carry out all required emergency, demolition and restoration tasks as indicated on a work order
- Extract water from dwellings and complete structural dry outs
- Pack, list, clean, and dispose of contents and furniture, which often includes lifting and carrying heavy loads
- Remove, transport, and dispose of large amounts of debris, which sometimes includes hazardous materials
- Maintain accurate documentation, both electronic and written
- Must be able to participate in a rotational on-call schedule and periodically attend to after-hours emergency calls (24/7/365)
Requirements
- Proven experience in disaster mitigation or related field
- IICRC certifications are a strong asset (e.g., WRT, FSRT, Mold, etc.)
- Ability to motivate, train and lead a team of technicians
- Proficiency with hand and power tools used in construction
- Ability to meet the physical demands of medium (frequent) to heavy (infrequent) level work
- Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license and an acceptable driving record (3 years prior)
- Basic computer skills, including email and attachments, and capable of adapting to new software
