We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Manager to join our retail team. Duties
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures
- Supervise and motivate retail staff to achieve sales targets and deliver excellent customer service
- Oversee merchandising, pricing strategies, and inventory management to optimize sales performance
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure a positive shopping experience
- Manage payroll, cash handling, and bookkeeping activities with accuracy and integrity
- Coordinate recruiting efforts, conduct interviews, and participate in staff training & development programs
- Utilize POS systems effectively for sales transactions and reporting
- Develop marketing initiatives to increase store visibility and customer engagement
- Assist with purchasing decisions and store budgeting to meet financial goals
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and store procedures
Requirements
- Proven supervisory or team management experience within a retail environment
- Strong communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus
- Experience in recruiting, interviewing, training & development, and payroll management
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in administrative tasks such as bookkeeping and budgeting
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate staff and manage conflicts effectively
- Customer service-oriented mindset with strong negotiation skills
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently through time management skills
- Knowledge of marketing strategies and sales management techniques
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in retail management is preferred
