The Opportunity
Join our growing Project Management team as a Senior Project Manager, where you’ll lead complex design and construction projects as an Owner’s Representative. In this role, you’ll work closely with clients to bring their vision to life while guiding projects from early planning through to completion.
We’re looking for someone who thinks strategically, enjoys building strong relationships, and takes pride in supporting and mentoring others. If you have experience delivering infrastructure projects, especially with government clients, and thrive in a collaborative environment, this could be a great fit.

Location: This role can be based in one of our Lower Mainland offices (Vancouver, Surrey or Langley), or Kelowna, BC.
What You’ll Do
- Act as an Owner’s Representative across a range of infrastructure projects
- Work with a variety of clients, consultants, and interested parties—both internal and external
- Lead projects from initiation through to commissioning
- Support business development efforts, including proposals and client meetings
- Facilitate project meetings and implement Project Management Plans
- Mentor and collaborate with project managers, coordinators, and contract administrators
- Ensure quality assurance and quality control standards are met
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks
- Support public consultation and interested parties engagement on behalf of clients
- Participate in consultation with Indigenous communities, respecting culture and protocols
- Coordinate with consultants, utilities, and interested parties to achieve project goals
- Travel occasionally for project work
What You’ll Bring
- A degree or diploma in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Architecture)
- 10+ years of experience in project management of infrastructure projects
- Proven ability to lead projects while keeping client priorities front and center
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Experience working with diverse interested parties, interest and rights holders, including Indigenous groups
- PMP or other PMI certification (considered an asset)
- Experience working with government clients (an asset)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MS Project, and strong presentation/writing skills
- A valid driver’s license and flexibility to split time between office and site
What Can We Offer You?
The salary range for this position is $125,000 - $165,000 per annum. McElhanney offers fair compensation that is commensurate with the individual’s education, experience, skills, and professional qualifications. The posted base salary/wage range is representative of the required level of qualifications and experience for the position as noted in the job posting. The salary offered will be based on the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate.
