CNC Mill Machinist / Programmer
One-off & custom work – no production grind
$30–$45/hr depending on experience and ability

Small shop doing precision, custom parts. Every job is different. You will take parts from drawing to finished product.
Small team – no layers of management.
This is not a button-pushing position.
You will decide how parts are machined — not just run someone else’s program.
If you’re currently stuck running production or just loading parts, this will be a step up.
We are looking for an experienced CNC mill machinist.
A strong 3rd or 4th year apprentice may also be considered.
Programming experience is preferred. We will also consider a strong setup machinist who wants to improve their programming skills.
What you’ll do:
- Program, set up, and run CNC vertical mills
- Set up and run your jobs independently
- Coordinate with others on multi-operation parts
- Select tooling, optimize feeds and speeds, and troubleshoot machining problems
- Inspect your own work (mics, bore gauges, etc.)
Equipment:
- CNC vertical mills, including Matsuura, Doosan, and Dahlih machines
What matters:
- Strong CNC mill setup experience
- Able to plan machining operations from a drawing
- Good understanding of workholding and tooling
- Programming experience is an asset
- Comfortable holding tight tolerances (±0.001”)
- Able to work independently and figure things out
Compensation:
- $30–$45/hr depending on experience and ability
- Top rate available for the right person
- Apprentices considered (rate based on level)
Schedule:
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
- Option: 6:00 am – 3:30 pm, every second Friday off
