We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter to join our team. Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paint, stains, varnishes, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
- Read blueprints and schematics to accurately execute project specifications
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during preparation and application processes
- Use rigging techniques when working at heights or on elevated surfaces
- Perform restoration work by stripping old paint and refinishing surfaces to restore their original appearance
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with clients and team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
- Maintain a clean work area and properly store tools and materials after each project
Skills
- Proven experience in construction painting, residential painting, commercial painting, restoration, or industrial painting
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, caulking equipment, and rigging techniques
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation techniques including sanding and priming
- Excellent time management skills to complete projects efficiently within deadlines
- Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members and clients
- Experience with carpentry or related construction skills is a plus
- Customer service orientation with a professional attitude toward client interactions
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
