Content Strategist / Photographer / Videographer
Carmella is hiring a content strategist who can also execute.
This is not a “just post and schedule” role. You’ll be responsible for thinking through what content should exist, why it matters, and how it drives real business results, then actually producing it.
We want someone who understands marketing at a high level. Someone who brings ideas to the table, sees opportunities before others do, and stays current with trends shaping the industry, including AI, content systems, audience behaviour, and platform shifts.
This role is for someone who excels in the space.
You should be confident building strategy, directing creative, spotting what works, and helping brands communicate clearly and consistently across platforms. We value people who think critically, move quickly, and care about making work that actually performs.

What You’ll Do
Content Strategy and Planning
- Build content strategies tied to business goals, not just platform trends
- Identify content gaps, opportunities, and positioning for each client
- Turn brand voice and positioning into clear, repeatable content pillars
- Plan campaigns, launches, and seasonal content with intention
- Develop content frameworks that scale across platforms
- Align content with the full funnel (awareness, consideration, conversion)
- Copywriting: Blogs and newsletters
Content Direction (Beyond Calendars)
- Define what content should be created and why
- Create shot lists, content briefs, and creative direction before production
- Guide messaging, tone, and structure across content
- Ensure consistency across platforms while adapting to each channel
Content Creation and Production
- Capture photo and video content on-site (properties, businesses, lifestyle, events)
- Produce short-form video (Reels, TikTok, ads) with strong hooks and pacing
- Edit content with clarity, structure, and storytelling in mind
- Collaborate with designers and marketing team members to execute campaigns
Performance and Optimization
- Track performance and identify what is actually working
- Adjust strategy based on data
- Test formats, hooks, and messaging
- Share insights in a way that informs next steps
What You Bring
- 4+ years experience in content strategy, social media, or content production
- Strong ability to think strategically about content
- Experience shooting and directing photo/video content
- Solid editing skills (CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar)
- Clear, natural writing ability
- Ability to manage multiple brands and timelines
- Comfortable taking ownership and making decisions
Bonus Skills
- Experience in real estate, tourism, or hospitality marketing
- Paid social or campaign strategy experience
- Basic design skills
- Drone experience
- Familiarity with analytics and reporting
