Job Description:
We are currently looking for an experienced Auto Parts Dismantler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience dismantling vehicles and removing usable parts safely and efficiently. This role involves working with a variety of vehicles and automotive components while ensuring parts are removed without damage for resale or inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Safely dismantle vehicles and remove automotive parts for resale
- Identify and label usable parts accurately
- Use hand tools and power tools to remove components
- Inspect parts for quality and usability
- Maintain an organized workspace and follow safety procedures
- Work with the inventory team to track and store parts properly
- Follow environmental and recycling procedures for vehicle disposal
Requirements:
- Previous experience dismantling vehicles or working in an auto recycling yard
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts and systems
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment
- Physically able to lift heavy parts and work in a shop environment
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently
- Reliable and punctual
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with multiple vehicle makes and models
- Forklift experience (an asset)
- Basic mechanical background
