Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Manager Assistant specialized in construction to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support project managers in coordinating construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, quality standards, and adherence to safety protocols. Your enthusiasm and organizational skills will help streamline project workflows, facilitate communication among stakeholders, and contribute to the successful execution of construction initiatives.
Duties
Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules using construction management software such as Primavera P6 and MS Project. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure materials and resources are available when needed. Support the preparation of construction estimates and budgets utilizing tools like HeavyBid and construction estimating software. Monitor project progress through site visits, tracking key milestones, and updating schedules accordingly. Assist in reviewing contracts, change orders, and procurement documents to ensure compliance with project specifications. Maintain detailed records of project documentation including RFIs (Requests for Information), submittals, daily reports, and safety logs. Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders to facilitate smooth operations and resolve issues promptly.
Experience
Previous experience supporting construction projects or working within a construction environment is highly preferred. Familiarity with construction management software such as Xactimate is essential. Hands-on experience with project scheduling, contract administration, and site coordination will be advantageous. Strong understanding of construction processes, safety protocols, and site logistics is required. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across teams while maintaining attention to detail. Construction site experience or exposure to heavy civil or commercial projects will strengthen your application.
