Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and excellent customer service skills. This role involves preparing delicious sandwiches, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards, and providing a welcoming experience for all customers. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of sandwiches according to company recipes and customer specifications
- Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during busy hours
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation areas
- Handle food safely, adhering to all food safety regulations and protocols
- Assist with cashier duties, including processing payments accurately and upselling menu items when appropriate
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly and addressing their needs
- Restock ingredients and supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environment is preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems, including Micros POS, is a plus
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during peak hours
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional attitude
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order accuracy
- Understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced setting
- Kitchen experience or food industry background is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
