Recon Metal is a scrap metal processing facility located in inner city Calgary. We purchase ferrous and non-ferrous metal for processing and selling to domestic and international markets. We have an immediate opening for a full-time scale house attendant. As the scale house attendant you will be responsible for weighing incoming and outgoing vehicles, obtaining metal gradings from the yard staff, inputting data in the purchasing software, and facilitating payment for the metal. The hours will be 8:00 am to 5:00 pm from Monday to Friday.

Description:
- Greet and direct customers
- Weigh and track all incoming and outgoing vehicles
- Facilitate transactions for the purchase and payment of scrap metal material
- Learn and familiarize self with all ferrous and non-ferrous metal grades and prices
- Provide efficient and timely service to suppliers
- Data input and adequate record keeping
- Perform other duties as requested by the immediate supervisor
Qualifications:
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Intermediate level computer skills
- Basic math, reading, and writing skills are required (English)
- Good communication skills – verbal and listening
- Metal knowledge is considered an asset
