Job summary
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Production Operator is responsible for operating and supporting the automated production line to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The Operator will work across different areas of the plant as needed and contribute to the smooth day-to-day operations.
Job responsibilities
Follow all health and safety procedures, operational standards, and company values;
Operate and monitor automated production equipment to ensure optimal performance;
Perform routine machine adjustments and basic preventive maintenance;
Learn and maintain skills in the production line areas where required (steel, injection, saw, packaging, stacker, etc.);
Troubleshoot and resolve minor operational issues in collaboration with team members;
Ensure product quality by following established standards and procedures;
Complete and maintain required production documentation accurately;
Support continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process optimizations;
Perform other related tasks based on operational needs.
Required training and experience
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment;
Experience operating automated production lines (asset);
Forklift driving experience (bi-directional lift experience an asset);
Overhead crane experience (asset).
