Based out of our Prince George office and under the direct supervision of the Woodlands Manager, the Woodlands Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing Carrier’s forest operations associated with its Replaceable Tenure volume in the Prince George and Robson Timber Supply Areas and any other third-party volume purchased by the company.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The following qualifications are preferred:
· Minimum 5 years related experience.
· Eligibility as a Registered Professional Forester / Registered Professional Forestry Technician.
· Strong work ethic and love of the outdoors.
· Basic understanding of safety rules and regulations.
· Self-motivated team player with ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
· Strong computer skills and aptitude for forestry-based technologies.
DUTIES:
· Assist with contractor safety, performance, and environmental leadership.
· Implement strategies and provide leadership and direction to improve safety, reduce operational costs and demonstrate excellence in forest planning.
· Collaborate with a team of professionals to implement the harvest planning and permitting programs.
· Participate in various contract negotiations.
· Professional interaction with Government personnel, First Nations and industry partners.
· Other duties related to operations in harvesting and planning may be assigned.
Annual Salary range of $80,000 to $110,000 dependent on experience. We thank all those who apply, but only qualified applicants will be contacted.
