Teaching Qualification Requirements (TQRs):
Education:
1. Master’s degree (In exceptional circumstances applicants without a Master's degree but with significant research or professional experience related to the course content may be considered).
2. Degree in Fine Arts or equivalent.
3. Teaching degree or equivalent, and experience teaching art in elementary schools.
Experience:
1.Expert Knowledge of elementary art education and of course content.
2. Knowledge of the Quebec Education Program (QEP).
3. Familiarity with the Professional Competencies specified by the Ministère de l’Éducation.
4. Experience teaching art in elementary schools.
5. Experience teaching in the Quebec school system.
Other:
1. Commitment to working with a team of committed and engaged instructors.
2. Must be available to attend course coordination and planning meeting minimum of 2 weeks in advance of course start date.
Additional Information:
1.Familiarity using MyCourses or similar online platforms.
2. Familiarity with online platforms such as ZOOM are an asset.
3. Familiarity with teaching blended classes.
4. Understandings about equity and diversity issues and how to address these in classrooms.
5. Technology skills to practice.
