Position & Scope
The Vacuum / Hydrovac Truck Operator position is responsible to perform a very diverse range of activities within our company including: car wash interceptor pit cleaning, sewage loading and hauling, hydro-excavating, hazardous waste loading and hauling, confined space entry, and hazardous materials spill clean up. The position may also include used oil materials recovery, equipment maintenance, buildings and facilities work, and the ability to drive other trucks and equipment along with other duties as assigned. The Operator will require a high level of professionalism and customer service, which will be used to consistently build positive customer relationships and to promote Protex Environmental's service throughout Saskatchewan.
Key Accountabilities
- Follow schedules and service orders in accordance with the Service Coordinator's instructions
- Provide exceptional on-site service to customers and continuously promote Protex's service offerings
- Complete service paperwork in accordance with Protex and TDG regulations
- Safely operate all required transport equipment & ensure regular cleaning and maintenance of truck cab, components and other assigned equipment
- Participate in the Protex safety programs including: safety meetings, last minute risk assessments, and job hazard assessments.
Requirements
- Only candidates with a Class 3A or Class 1A Driver's License and an acceptable driver's abstract, will be considered.
- Vacuum Truck experience
- Able to work independently
- Customer service experience
- TDG knowledge and experience
- Self-motivated attitude
- Experience working in a safety sensitive environment
- Ability to work out of town and overnight trips up to three days at a time
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour
