CNC Setter/Operator/Programmer Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for making basic mastercam programs, double-checking programs made by other programmers before running a first off and making neccessary changes, setting up the job, operating the machines, and other related activities. The focus should be to run CNC machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of Mastercam software, blueprint reading, and machining processes. Experience in Aerospace industry is a huge plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for milling machines based on engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience in 4 & 5-axis machine programming and setup is a MUST.
- Operate and setup machines with utmost sincerity and passion.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
- Utilize CAD software, such as SolidWorks, Mastercam to create and modify part designs.
- Working knowledge of operating and setups on CNC machines, ensuring proper calibration and alignment is a plus.
- Conduct quality checks using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Maintain and develop processes, adhering to Lean manufacturing principles.
- Experience with Haas Machine is highly beneficial. Specially Haas 3+2 & 5-axis machines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Setup, operator and Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in CAD software, particularly Mastercam; experience with other design software is a plus.
- Strong understanding of milling machines and machining processes.
- Experience with complex aerospace parts is a huge plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles is preferred.
- Experience using calipers and other precision measuring tools for quality control.
- Knowledge of welding processes is advantageous but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
