LDI is located in Robinson-Superior Treaty territory, on the traditional lands of the Anishnaabeg and the Métis. Reporting to the Mine General Foreman, the successful candidate will work a 14 days on, 14 days off rotation at the Lac des Iles mine site.
Responsibilities:
· Daily supervision of the underground workforce in conjunction with safely meeting daily production plans
· Monitor and apply company safety procedures
· Ensure that the underground workforce is in compliance with Ontario Mines regulations and the Occupational Health and Safety Act
· Preparation of daily reports
· Oversee drilling and blasting
· Identify training needs and provide training to employees
Qualifications:
· Five years hard rock mining experience at a supervisory role, preferred experience in blast-hole/ long-hole applications
· Basic Ontario Hard Rock Common Core and Ontario Supervisory Common Core required
· Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel)
· Working experience with Avanti Payroll software or similar payroll applications
