Position Overview
As Site Supervisor / Superintendent, you will play a key role in leading, managing, and coordinating on site execution for projects within the company. As a permanent full-time position, the Site Supervisor / Superintendent will report to and work closely with the Operations Manager, supporting the safe, efficient, and quality execution of projects. The ideal candidate takes great pride in ensuring projects are executed to the highest level of quality while ensuring Tkemlúps Contracting is represented to the best of their ability, at all times.
This role is based in Kamloops, BC.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe operation on site at all times, make sure everyone gets home safe, everyday.
- Supervision of efficient quality operations.
- Plan ahead and schedule operations.
- Complete daily reporting paperwork for safety, quality and production.
- Lead crews to ensure client satisfaction is achieved.
- Build and maintain respectful, reciprocal relationships with the client and client representatives, industry partners, Indigenous communities and their representatives, and all stakeholders involved in project execution.
- Lead by example, exemplifying company expectations and culture throughout the field.
- Lead and collaborate with team members to develop detailed project work plans, hazard analysis, budgets, productions, etc.
- Manage and coordinate subcontractors and/or third party personnel on site as required by projects.
- Positively represent the company in business with clients, TteS, Indigenous Communities, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and other public and/or private agencies and organizations.
- Support the onboarding and mentorship of personnel at all levels across projects.
- Support management to forecast, plan, and monitor labour and equipment needs across projects to support resource management company wide.
- Effectively communicate safety expectations to field teams and hold everyone on site accountable to abide by or exceed them.
Qualifications & Experience
- Must have extensive experience in industrial civil earthworks that includes work such as subdivision & site development, utilities, retaining walls, roads, etc.
- Must have good written and verbal English skills, be able to hear instructions and see work activities/hazards.
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in direct Site Supervision.
- Strong project execution experience with focus on planning, scheduling, cost, and risk management.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Ground Disturbance
- Standard First Aid, at minimum
- Leadersip for Safety Excellence considered an asset
Compensation & Benefits
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Kamloops, BC.
Compensation Range: $42.00 - $48.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
A company truck, laptop, and other equipment required to perform the duties of the role will be provided for business use.
