Job Summary
We are looking for reliable and physically capable individuals to join our on-call warehouse team at Alpha Tires. This is a flexible, on-demand position where you will be contacted when shipping containers arrive and additional help is needed for unloading, sorting, and storing tires in the warehouse.
This role involves unloading tires from shipping containers, organizing inventory in the warehouse, and assisting with loading and handling tires as needed. The work is physically demanding and takes place in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Unload tires from shipping containers safely and efficiently
- Sort, count, and organize tires by size and type
- Stack and store tires in designated warehouse locations (up to 2 levels high)
- Assist with loading tires for customer orders and deliveries
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse area
- Follow safety procedures when handling heavy materials
- Work cooperatively with warehouse and operations staff
Requirements
- Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy tires repeatedly
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment and standing for long periods
- Able to follow instructions and work well in a team
- Reliable and available on short notice when containers arrive
- Previous warehouse or labour experience is an asset but not required
- Comfortable stacking tires up to 2 levels high safely
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license is an asset but not required
Work Model
- On-call / as-needed position (no fixed schedule)
- You will be contacted when containers arrive or extra help is required
- Shift length may vary depending on workload
Compensation
- Hourly pay based on experience
- Opportunity for ongoing work for reliable and strong performers
Pay: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
