Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Massage Therapist to join our wellness team in a part-time of full-time capacity. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various massage techniques and be dedicated to providing exceptional care to clients. As a Massage Therapist, you will play a vital role in promoting relaxation, alleviating pain, and enhancing overall well-being through therapeutic touch.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients' needs and medical histories to tailor massage treatments accordingly.
- Perform various types of massages, including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, and therapeutic techniques.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences and address any concerns during sessions.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and ready for use.
- Keep accurate records of client treatments and progress while adhering to confidentiality standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by creating a welcoming environment and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in massage therapy practices.
Qualifications
- Valid state license or certification in Massage Therapy.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to anatomy and physiology.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their needs.
- Proven customer service skills with a focus on client care and satisfaction.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends as needed.
- Previous experience in a spa or wellness center is preferred but not required.
