Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Dental Assistant to join our reputable dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the delivery of exceptional patient care by assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient interactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily clinical activities. Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of dental procedures, including exams, restorations, and orthodontic treatments
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies, ensuring sterilization protocols are followed
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) accurately and efficiently
- Manage patient records using dental software Tracker, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and addressing concerns in a professional manner
- Coordinate appointments and manage patient flow as a dental receptionist when needed
- Assist with sterilization of instruments and maintenance of clinical equipment
- Support pediatric patients during treatments with patience and care
- Maintain knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental procedures
Experience
- Certified Dental Assistant certification required
- Prior experience with dental assisting in a fast-paced environment preferred
- Familiarity with dental software TRACKER is highly advantageous
- Experience working with orthodontic cases and pediatric patients is a plus
- Knowledge of CAD systems used in digital dentistry is beneficial
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Previous experience supporting dental reception duties is desirable
