Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic After School Program Leader to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about working with children and committed to creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment. The Program Leader will oversee after-school activities, provide tutoring support, assist program manager and foster a positive environment that encourages learning and development. Experience in early childhood education, teaching, or working with children is highly valued for this position.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage after-school activities for children ages 6 to 12
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children during program hours
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages participation and teamwork
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff
- Maintain a clean and organized activity space in compliance with safety standards
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of activities and materials as needed
Requirements
- Experience working with children preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to connect with children
- Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for engaging children
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Work afternoons during school hours is essential, there is some flexibility on hours for camp programs
- First Aid/CPR
- Criminal Record Screening Certificate and/or Vulnerable Sector Check
Pay: $18.50-$20.00 per hour
