White Birch Cafe & Bistro is looking for passionate, dependable, and hardworking cooksto join our growing kitchen team in Fernie.
We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced café environment and takes pride in clean execution, consistency, and great food. Brunch experience is a strong asset, and baking experience is a bonus, especially for candidates who enjoy working across both savoury and pastry prep.

What We’re Looking For
- Previous line cook or breakfast/brunch cooking experience
- Brunch and café-style service experience is a strong asset
- Baking or pastry experience is an asset
- Strong breakfast cook skills: eggs, hollandaise, pancakes, sandwiches, and brunch plating
- Ability to work cleanly and efficiently during busy service
- Strong prep and organization skills
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen cleanliness standards
- Passion for quality food and consistent execution
Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute brunch and lunch service items
- Assist with daily prep, sauces, baking, and feature items
- Support smooth ticket flow during busy café service
- Maintain station cleanliness, organization, and pars
- Assist with pastry or baked prep when needed
- Follow recipes, plating standards, and quality expectations
- Contribute to a positive and supportive kitchen culture
