The Property Maintenance Supervisor provides direction to full and part time staff comprising of Caretakers and Field Services Support Technicians.
Scope of Work:
- Administration of maintenance application software.
- Provide direction and supervision to their staff, including recruitment, employee performance reviews, orientation, and development in collaboration with the Maintenance Manager.
- In collaboration with the Maintenance Manager, coordinate the effective and efficient delivery of annual work plans, and monitor the operational standards of cleanliness, upkeep, and maintenance of the properties while maintaining good tenant relations.
- Coordinate the effective and efficient use of all tools, equipment, inventory, and unit records.
- Coordinate, schedule, and track employee leaves of absence according to SHA policies.
- Provide leadership in ensuring that the workplace is safe and healthy.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to all staff.
- In collaboration with the Maintenance Manager, develop policies, procedures, and ensure that accountability measures are in place for staff that are required to use maintenance software.
- Remain current with respect to technical developments and advancements in equipment, materials, practice, regulatory codes, and supplies.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- A certificate, grade 12, or equivalent.
- Experience in a property maintenance management setting for 5 years or more.
- Possession of a valid driver's license, ownership of a roadworthy vehicle, and additional vehicle liability insurance.
- A clear criminal record with vulnerability check.
