Tanker Driver Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tanker Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting liquid cargo safely and efficiently while adhering to all regulations and safety standards. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to operate heavy equipment.
Duties
- Safely operate tanker trucks to transport liquid freight to designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including quantities, types of cargo, and delivery times.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on the vehicle as needed.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for tanker operation.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with tanker trucks.
- Strong knowledge of freight handling and safety regulations.
- Basic automotive repair skills preferred for routine maintenance tasks.
- Excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Pay: $36.00-$45.00 per hour
